Watch LIVE as SpaceX launches a Falcon Heavy rocket carrying NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
This flagship NASA mission will deliver the next-generation Roman Space Telescope to the Sun-Earth Lagrange Point 2 (L2), located approximately one million miles from Earth. From there, the observatory will investigate dark energy, map dark matter, and discover new exoplanets using a field of view 100 times larger than the Hubble Space Telescope. Following stage separation, the Falcon Heavy's two side boosters will return to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station for synchronized touchdowns at Landing Zones 2 and 40 (LZ-2 and LZ-40).
