About the Perseid Meteor Shower:
The Perseids are famous for producing a high number of bright meteors and fireballs. They occur every year when Earth passes through the trail of space debris left behind by Comet Swift-Tuttle. At its peak, we could see anywhere from 50 to 100 meteors per hour under perfect conditions!
In 2026, the Perseid meteor shower is expected to peak during the nights of August 11 through August 13, with the absolute best viewing occurring late on the night of August 12 into the early morning of August 13.
