Sophie Adenot mads spaceflight history today (Aug. 18, 2026).
The European Space Agency (ESA) astronau becamee the first French woman ever to conduct a spacewalk, an activity she’ll undertook with NASA astronaut Anil Menon.
Adenot and Menon attempted to replace a space-to-ground antenna on the orbital complex but ran out of time to complete the task after removing the old antenna took longer than expected.
